FENDER TELECASTER THINLINE CUSTOM 1977

Great player, great sound! Fender Thinlines are so light and comfortable to play that you feel instantly at home.

Fender built on Gibson’s development of the humbucker to produce a sweet sounding pickup, and hired Seth Lover, the man responsible for the Gibson humbucker to help with the design – and the result are these ultra rare and sought after ‘Wide Range’ pickups. With a delightful bite that can cut through any mix but still ballsy, they are powerful yet smooth and warm.

The visual combination of maple neck and fretboard with black markers is just right too.

There were some strange pickup options on Thinlines : some all Fender, some half Fender and half Gibson, usually with serious volume imbalances between the pickups. This instrument however has probably the best and most versatile pickup combination of all. A semi acoustic to give a Gibson ES 335 a run for its money!
