FENDER JAZZ BASS – 1978

SERIAL NUMBER: S8 46831

DATE: 1978

The Jazz bass first appeared in 1960, and was a radical upgrade of its predecessor, the Precision, with its new offset waist and custom contouring making it supremely comfortable to play.

It has twin single coil pickups, a super slim tapered neck, and was arguably a far nicer feeling instrument than the Precision – and thanks to those twin pickups a far wider tonal variation too !

This variant has a bound fretboard, block inlays which give it a more sophisticated look, and a killer ‘see through’ cherry/’wine’ finish.

Not much gigging time on this bass, it looks superb.

Very rare- all the covers (ashtrays) are on,
3 bolt neck with tilt adjuster,
Bullet truss rod,
Rosewood fretboard,
Block inlays with bound fingerboard,
Two single coil pickups,
Two volumes and master tone control,
Cherry red, with black scratchplate and knobs.
$2500
