FENDER STRATOCASTER – 1962….SOLD !

SERIAL NUMBER: 93516
NECK DATE: 2 DEC 62

These early 60’s Strats are sought after….and for good reason.

This period instrument was representative of the instrumental groups riding high at the time, such as the Shadows, the Ventures and a whole host of others – pretty, ‘clean’ sounds were the order of the day.

It took another couple of years for Jimi Hendrix to come along and turn that upside down. Since that time the Stratocaster has been recognised for what it really is: a ridiculously versatile instrument for every genre of music.

This ‘Pre-L’ plays and sounds absolutely beautiful and is also the first year of the veneer as opposed to the slab fret board.
